I am a pyrographer inspired by the natural world’s beauty and mystery. My burnings explore the relationship between nature and man through the technique of drawing with the element of fire. I work primarily on live-edge wood, using a combination of tools and techniques to create lively pieces in monochromatism. My pieces are often of flora and fauna, both real and not, but they are often depictions of my emotional and spiritual connection to the natural world. Through my work I hope to evoke a sense of intrigue and guttural understanding of the natural world and its allure, as well as provide a deep sense of connection with it.
