Artist Statement
My landscape artworks are based on a practice of walking, observing, plein air sketches and finally loose, interpretive studio works. The Canadian Shield, rugged shorelines and dense swamps are my go-to reference. These environments are integral characters in my art. I believe our bond with nature is deep and I aim to express this symbiosis, offering viewers a window into the vibrant essence of untouched landscapes. My work is constantly expanding and evolving.
