Adriana Rinaldi is a fine artist returning to Arts on the Credit this April. She is drawn to the quiet, meditative aspects of the natural world, taking a closer, more intimate look. Adriana is fascinated by the shapes of plants, leaves, pods, branches, and twigs and the play of light and shade on their surfaces. Reflections and shadows give her a chance to stop and observe complex patterns in nature and present these to others through her paintings. “My botanical paintings are a celebration of life and the simple beauties of the everyday”, says Adriana.
When Adriana discovered traditional glaze oil painting, she knew she had found the “art home” that would allow her the latitude of expression she had been looking for. This traditional, beautiful and ancient technique is so steeped in depth and subtleties. The process spoke to her meditative and methodical nature and facilitated a burst of exploration into the amazing details nature has to offer.
