“My personal challenge is to share my stories and view of the world. I do this using my own photography, my imagination, or bringing photographic elements together until I accomplish my goal.
My subject matter is large and varied and includes floral, seashell still life, still life, and waterscapes (boats and leaves on ponds), landscapes. I like to look at everyday objects and portray them in their glory, bigger, brighter and in-depth. As an example, I recently discovered the beauty of marbles. Endless colours, light refraction and reflection off each other. Each marble is its own little painting. I also am fascinated by the patterns of water movement, reflections and leaves floating on this complicated view. I use the principles of the Old Masters style mostly but adapted my own way. My feeling is that artwork rendered well will always stand the test of time and will be a good investment. I paint for the pleasure it brings me and for my clients’ enjoyment. I have many artistic goals and am fascinated by the endless possibilities art brings my way.”
