As an artist since 1988, I taught painting part-time from my home while my children were young. Once the youngest started school full-time I opened up a studio with my business partner Ruth. We ran our “Painting’ Friends” Decorative Painting Studio for 9 years, providing art instruction and selling art supplies. I have painted and taught landscapes, still lifes, florals, animals, and portraits. I mostly paint in acrylics, but also enjoy painting with Genesis Heat-set Paints, as well as Water-soluble Oils. I have been commissioned to paint many paintings, and enjoy working with customers to create just the right feel for their unique painting. It really gives me goosebumps to see the happiness of my customers when they receive their artwork and hang it in a place of pride in their home.
