My love of weaving started at a young age as I grew up living next door to a Grandmother who wove. The process of taking skeins of yarn, threading them through the heddles and reed of a loom and then interlacing that warp yarn with either the same yarn or a different one to create cloth has always fascinated me. The possibilities are endless. Over the years I have had the opportunity to develop and refine my weaving techniques by taking classes offered by the Ontario Handweavers and Spinners Guild. The scarves I have been weaving allow the wearer the joy of having a piece of handmade art that surrounds them in colour.
