Lilac Glass design and create handmade glass art, decor and jewellery. Partners Lindsey Adelman and Em McDonald collaborate, using their strengths in different techniques including glassblowing, flameworking, and more. Lindsey and Em both studied Glass at Sheridan College, graduating in 2019.
Our work focuses mostly on traditional furnace worked glass, and combines techniques of both hot sculpting and glassblowing to create a mix of sculptural and functional work. We work together as a team through the processes of ideation, design & fabrication. We draw inspiration from our identities as members of the queer community and our work has recurring themes of light, colour & the human figure
