With a successful 35-year career as a software developer, I navigated the complexities of the tech industry, earning recognition for my organizational, leadership, and delivery skills. My journey led me to an executive role where I had the privilege of leading talented teams of designers, coders, and implementers, delivering impactful solutions, and fostering innovation. While my career in technology was deeply satisfying, a persistent call to explore my artistic passion ultimately guided my path. Art has been a part of my life since childhood, a creative outlet that has always brought me joy. Recently, I made the transformative decision to share this enthusiasm more publicly, allowing my artistic voice to flourish. This new chapter has been incredibly fulfilling, enabling me to reconnect with my creativity and express myself through painting. Now, I am dedicated to exploring the world of art, using my experiences to inspire and connect with others. I am excited to embrace this journey and share my artistic vision with the world.

Artist Statement: ​As a self-taught oil painting artist, my journey began under the guidance of my mother, Patricia Marie Carroll. For the past 11 years, my studio in Mississauga, Ontario, has been a sanctuary where I paint almost daily, constantly honing my craft and exploring innovative techniques. My work spans a variety of subjects, from wildlife and seascapes to landscapes, equine themes, and portraits. Each piece reflects a shared connection to the world around us, inviting viewers to experience the beauty I see. ​A pivotal moment in my artistic life came when my mother hung a seascape in our neighbor’s home—a vibrant depiction of a cave by the Atlantic Ocean. That mesmerizing composition evoked a powerful sensory experience, making me feel the ocean’s spray on my face. At that moment I recognized my path as an artist, compelled to evoke similar feelings in others. My mother’s wisdom has been a guiding force throughout my artistic journey. She taught me to dig deep, challenge myself, and embrace every learning opportunity. These lessons conveyed through countless hues and tones, resonate in every piece I create. I strive to ensure that my art captures the essence of my experiences but also honors her influence in my life. In every brushstroke, I carry a piece of my mother with me. I believe that art is a reflection of the self, a bridge between the artist and the viewer.
