What a Weekend!!

2018 will definitely be a memorable show for Arts on the Credit. Winter decided to have one last ‘kick at the can’ this past weekend and slammed us with a combo of everything it could manage, rain, freezing rain, sleet, snow and phenomenal wind gusts. Always the professionals that they are, the artists carried on with the show, positive and up-beat, making the best of the situation thrown at them.

Arts on the Credit would like to send sincere thanks out to all those patrons that braved the storm and visited the show. It was truly rewarding to meet and chat with so many dedicated art enthusiasts.

We had a fabulous opening night celebration with live jazz courtesy of Stella Jurgen and Jazz Plazma, wine and delicious hors d’oeuvres supplied by the Waterside Inn. For the first time ever, we did offer tickets to our opening and several people took this opportunity to enjoy the evening with us and be among the first to discover wonderful art in all its various forms.

Special thanks to our MP for Mississauga-Lakeshore, Sven Spengemann for officially opening the show this year. He was kind enough to present us with an award recognizing the powerful tool the arts are to bring together people from a variety of backgrounds.

Mike Douglas, the executive director of the Mississauga Arts Council, welcomed our guests and invited them to enjoy all that the arts have to offer.

Our door prize this year was an amazing vase, which could also stand alone as a sculpture, created by Alexander Kastulin. Congratulations to our winner, Jane Martindale!

Until next year.
